Customs and Taxation & Customs Risk Reduction for Purchased-on-Behalf Goods

一、 Customs and Taxation

1. Risk Reminder

For purchased-on-behalf goods, the system will provide risk prompts for your products during order submission and review. After the goods are shipped to our warehouse, we will recommend transportation methods with lower risks based on the nature of the goods and logistics experience.
Kind Reminder: For certain products, there may be unavoidable customs risks (such as returns, fines, taxes, etc.), which shall be borne by you. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

2. Declaration Related

For purchased-on-behalf goods, please make reasonable declarations with reference to the tariff thresholds of various countries and logistics experience (you can choose to declare goods independently or make vague declarations when submitting the package).
Kind Reminder: The probability of a package being taxed depends on the frequency of customs inspections and policy impacts. For details, please refer to "Tariff Thresholds for Different Countries". Customs-related risks (such as package returns, fines, tax payments, etc.) shall be borne by you. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
In addition, if your products are heavy or of high value, the probability of customs inspection will increase. We recommend that you try to avoid packages that are too heavy or contain excessive quantities of the same type of products.

二、 How to Reduce Customs Risks for Purchased-on-Behalf Goods

1. Accurate and Compliant Declaration

  • Truthfully fill in product information, avoid underreporting value or false classification to reduce the probability of inspection.
  • Refer to the tariff threshold of the destination country, control the value of a single package within the tax-free limit, and split shipments if exceeding the limit.
  • Clearly mark product details, including name, quantity, unit price, etc., avoiding vague labels such as "gifts" or "samples".

2. Optimize Package Packaging and Configuration

  • Avoid packing a large number of the same type of products centrally; disperse different categories of products to reduce inspection attention.
  • Control the weight and volume of the package, as overly heavy or large packages are more likely to be randomly inspected by customs.
  • Use conventional packaging and avoid exaggerated or special packaging that may arouse unnecessary attention.

3. Reasonably Choose Transportation Methods

  • Prioritize low-risk transportation routes recommended by the platform, as these routes usually have mature customs clearance experience.
  • For high-value or sensitive goods, commercial couriers can be selected, which offer higher customs clearance efficiency and relatively controllable risks.
  • Avoid periods when the destination country's customs conducts strict inspections, such as before and after holidays or during policy adjustments.

4. Conduct Advance Risk Prediction

  • Understand the customs policies of the destination country, clarify the list of prohibited and restricted imported goods, and avoid illegal mailing.
  • Keep product purchase certificates, which can be provided in a timely manner if supplementary customs declaration is required to speed up the processing process.
  • Do not purchase on behalf of others for prohibited or sensitive categories, such as tobacco, alcohol, medicines, electronic products and other strictly controlled goods.
